Stephen D. Schrier is Co-Chair of Gaming Group at Blank Rome LLP and concentrates his practice on guiding clients in the area of casino gaming, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy sports, employment law, restrictive covenants, and contract law. With more than 30 years of experience before regulatory bodies, trial courts and appellate courts, Mr. Schrier maintains a special emphasis on gaming law and regulatory matters for casino operators, sports betting operators, internet gaming companies, developers, lenders, equity holders, and vendors. He recently represented several clients in their launch of sports betting and online gaming in New Jersey, and has significant experience handling competitive proceedings seeking gaming facilities in various jurisdictions. Mr. Schrier is Past Chair of the Casino Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Gaming Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Mr. Schrier is a frequent lecturer and author on gaming issues. He was named 'Best of the Best in Gaming and Gambling Law' by Expert Guides 2018. He is an adjunct professor teaching Casino Law at Rutgers Camden Law School. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Schrier was a Deputy Attorney Deneral for the State of New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement, where he was responsible for ensuring that New Jersey gaming establishments and vendors were in compliance with state regulations during their initial license investigations and ongoing operations. Mr. Schrier was named 'Gaming Lawyer of the Year' in Philadelphia by 'Best Lawyers' and was named to the 'Client Choice–International 2014' list, which recognizes leading lawyers and law firms for excellence in client service.
