Ms. Patricia Lalanda Ordóñez is Partner at LOYRA Abogados (part of the international group of law firms ETL Group), a gaming and gambling specialized law firm, where she leads the intellectual property, new technologies and data protection department. She advises the whole array of land based an online gaming industry stake holder such as governments, casinos, online gaming operators, affiliates, media, social gaming operators, payment providers and other gambling service providers. Ms. Patricia’s advice includes licensing, regulatory and compliance, M&A, consumer, advertising, and privacy law issues both in Spain and cross-border, including a business and technology perspective.
Ms. Patricia is a lecturer on subjects such as land-based and online gaming regulation and market knowledge (national and international), blockchain, cryptocurrencies and esports, in various educational centres such as the Autonomous University of Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid Law School (LLM New Technologies Law and Special Course on ESPORTS law), LaLiga Business School (LLM on Law on Professional Soccer) IE Business School and FIDE (Foundation for Investigation for Law and the Company) and participates in national and international conferences. She frequently publishes on regulatory developments and opinion in leading industry journals. Her latest collaboration is in the book “The Future is now: present and future of online gambling” in 2021. In 2015, she was awarded the title of “40under40 Emerging Leader” by the American Gaming Association. Ms. Patricia studied Law at Carlos III University in Madrid and obtained her LL.M. degree in IP, IT and NNTT from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Working languages: Spanish, English and French.
