Mark Lipparelli, a Nevada State Senator, is the former Chairman of the three member Nevada State Gaming Control Board appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval in January, 2011, following a two year tenure as a member of the Board from January, 2009 to December, 2010. Prior to his appointment to the State Gaming Control Board from 2007 to 2009, Mr. Lipparelli served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gioco Ventures, LLC, a development stage technology company and served as an advisor to consumer and technology private equity firms as well as three public companies. Prior thereto, he served in several senior level management positions over a span of fifteen years with the gaming industry’s leading technology companies including Bally Technologies, Shuffle Master, and Casino Data Systems. In his officer roles, Mr. Lipparelli led organizations which developed industry leading products used by casinos worldwide. His specific experiences in both large and small organizations include leadership roles in finance, management, strategy, product management, operations, public relations, intellectual property and legal/regulatory matters. Mr. Lipparelli has been personally licensed for suitability in a large number of gaming jurisdictions worldwide that hold applicants to the highest business and ethical standards. Mr. Lipparelli is a frequent speaker and writer for international industry trade shows/conferences, investment community conferences, has served as the spokesman for three public companies, and is frequently quoted in national press, trade publications and local media in relation to his industry expertise. Prior to his private industry experience, Mr. Lipparelli began his professional career as a Securities Analyst and Senior Research Analyst with the Nevada State Gaming Control Board. Mr. Lipparelli also currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Nevada Foundation, a Board Trustee and Treasurer of the International Association of Gaming Regulators, and is a current member of the Gaming Policy Committee and the State Crime Commission in Nevada. In 2011, Mr. Lipparelli was named as Regulator of the Year for the Americas by the International Masters of Gaming Law and was named to an Advisory Panel on Sports Wagering to the International Olympic Committee. Mr. Lipparelli served five years as a member of the Board of Directors and two years as Vice Chairman of the Gaming Standards Association. Mr. Lipparelli graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Master of Science degree in Economics, and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming.
